Irfan Khan

Irfan Khan hails from the Sikar Gharana, known for producing stalwarts of Indian classical music. As the ninth generation to play the sitar, his great-grandfather, Ustad Azim Khan Sahab, was a court musician in Sikar, Rajasthan.

Irfan’s musical journey began at six, guided by his grandfather, Ustad Gulab Khan Sahab, and continued with his father, Ustad Niyaz Ahmed Khan Sahab, and uncle, Padma Bhushan Ustad Sultan Khan Sahab. He holds a degree in Arts from Jai Narayan Vyas University and an M.A. in Music (Sitar).

Irfan has performed at prestigious events like the Rajasthan International Folk Festival, Kala Ghoda, and Sufi Festival, earning widespread acclaim. With a deep command of the sitar and a rich musical heritage, he has a promising future in music.
